Australian Championship unveils Official Match Ball for 2026 season with Mitre

The Australian Championship has unveiled its Official Match Ball for the 2026 season, with Mitre Sports Australia & New Zealand introducing the Ultimax Pro for the competition.

The 2026 ball features a design inspired by the Mitre Ultimax used in the National Soccer League in the early 2000s, carrying a piece of Australian football history into the new era of the Australian Championship.

Blending a contemporary look with a retro-inspired design, the ball will be used throughout the 2026 season.

Engineered with decades of innovation and heritage, the Ultimax Pro features Mitre’s HyperFlow debossed grooves, designed to reduce drag and provide in-flight stability across all speeds.

A high-grade HyperFoam elastic cushioning layer provides rebound with every strike, while Mitre’s HyperSeal thermally bonded technology supports shape retention, durability and virtually zero water absorption. The ball also features a bespoke Mitre Delta Skin surface layer to assist in-play grip and control.

The Mitre Ultimax Pro is Mitre’s elite professional football and has been designed and tested to perform at the highest standards, supported by its FIFA Quality Pro certification.
